In 2002, he partnered with his son, Curt, and other associates to form the Largent Team, one of the largest real estate teams in the North State, which is now part of Sheldon Largent Realty. In 2005, they bought a Keller Williams Realty franchise in Redding, as well as becoming part of the ownership in a Chico KW office. During 2011, Ron gave back to his community, serving as President and Executive Officer of the United Way of Northern California on an interim basis, managing the United Way in the nine northern counties of California.
Ron returned to the field of real estate sales and financing to address an issue that has been a concern of his, and other active brokers and agents, for years, namely the funding of commercial real estate transactions. Part of the problem has been that some lenders, and in many cases, the commercial loan originators, have not been “in the field”, which is to say dealing on a daily basis with buyers and sellers.
